Filtration Plants

Filtration Plants

At Koola Waters, our filtration plants are engineered to meet the highest standards of water safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance within Kenya’s bottled water industry. All production facilities operate in accordance with requirements set by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and align with applicable guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO) for drinking water quality.

To maintain consistent compliance, Koola Waters implements routine laboratory testing, both in-house and through accredited external laboratories, as required by Kenyan regulatory authorities. Quality control protocols include batch testing, continuous monitoring of critical control points, and strict adherence to hygiene and sanitation standards across bottling, storage, and distribution processes.

Technical Transparency

At Koola Waters, technical transparency is a core principle guiding the design and operation of our water filtration plants. Our filtration systems are engineered to ensure that every stage of water treatment—from source abstraction to final packaging—is measurable, auditable, and compliant with Kenya’s regulatory requirements. All facilities operate in line with standards set by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and are aligned with applicable World Health Organization (WHO) drinking water quality guidelines. To support this transparency, Koola Waters applies structured quality control and monitoring protocols across the entire filtration process. These include routine in-house laboratory testing, independent analysis through KEBS-accredited external laboratories, batch-level verification, and continuous monitoring of critical control points. Filtration performance, hygiene controls, and sanitation procedures are documented and reviewed to ensure traceability, consistency, and accountability.

Evidence-Based Quality Positioning & Market Assurance

At Koola Waters, technical transparency anchors all filtration communication. Product claims are grounded in verified laboratory testing, regulatory audits, and internal quality assurance data—ensuring that what is communicated to the market accurately reflects real-world performance and full compliance with national and international water quality standards. By foregrounding documented filtration outcomes, certification benchmarks, and measurable quality indicators—rather than generic marketing language—Koola Waters builds confidence across regulators, distributors, retailers, and consumers alike. This evidence-led approach positions the brand not just as a water solutions provider, but as a technically credible, compliant, and trustworthy actor within Kenya’s regulated water sector.

We use a Multi-barrier water treatment System

Our plants utilize a multi-barrier water treatment system, incorporating raw water pre-treatment, micron sediment filtration, activated carbon filtration, reverse osmosis (RO), and final disinfection stages. This structured process ensures the effective removal of physical, chemical, and microbiological contaminants, including suspended solids, chlorine, heavy metals, and pathogenic microorganisms.
